Lets take a look at the Mora of Sweden Bushcraft Fixed Blade Knife in the Triflex Carbon Steel. My overall opinion is that this is an extremely high value blade. It comes in at around $25, which is very reasonable in my opinion. I have found that the Triflex steel holds its edge very well when cutting Pine and similar woods. The blade is not flimsy, so it feels like a very durable knife that will last over the years. I have abused mine, and even accidentally hit it against rock with no significant failures. The plastic sheath holds the knife in place very firmly. The sheath has a drain hole at the end, and has a swivel belt loop that is large enough to be used with a standard leather belt. I use mine by strapping the sheath onto my backpack straps. The handle of the knife is rubberized but not textured. This could be problematic if you plan on using the knife extensively and your palms become sweaty after some hard use. However, I find that the form factor of the handle is v! ery ergonomic and molds to your fingers locking into the palm of your hand well - even without any texture. There is no lanyard hole, but you can easily drill one out for yourself like I did if you desire. Overall great blade, and I have enjoyed using mine for several trips.
